Tinkamo creates smart LEGO compatible toys that encourage kids to create, learn basics of coding and have fun. I have worked with Tinkamo full-time for 1.5 years, mostly on the app coding, UI\/UX design, also video shooting, direction and photography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My first\u00a0task was to re-design the UI of\u00a0the Tinkamo app, and re-think the user flow. Target audience is 5-9 years old, target devices are primarily\u00a0tablets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tinkamo wanted to use their smart wireless blocks for\u00a0music education and exploration, so I\u2019ve came up with a concept, and created\u00a0a concept video that shows\u00a0it in action. It encourages kids to get into a playful\u00a0flow of sounds, which I believe\u00a0is the\u00a0stepping stone for creating a natural relationship with music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reading EEG signal from human brain is a smart way to measure focus,\u00a0relaxedness and other metrics of human brain. We\u2019ve created a funny teaser for\u00a0the Star Wars day (May the 4th \u2013 \u201eMay the force be with you\u201c), in which we\u2019ve used the Neurosky EEG probe to use the focusedness of the mind to control Tinkamo smart blocks. I\u2019ve directed it, acted as a jedi padawan\u00a0and edited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have coded the front-end of new\u00a0Tinkamo website<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 the whole website is static, and therefore quite fast. Check out the \u201eThis is Tinkamo\u201c animation on the homepage, that explains how the smart blocks work.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Another small project I took on was the photoshoot of the whole Tinkamo team, for the\u00a0website. Everybody has their thing, that you can see in animation when you hover over their photo \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The biggest body of work in Tinkamo were\u00a0lines and lines of javascript, HTML & CSS code \ud83d\ude42I have learned a lot from a great teacher \u2013 our boss, Jam. When leaving Tinkamo, I feel that I am able to make a simple app from scratch, and I know how to code in objective oriented approach. A lot to be grateful for! \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n\n\n\n
